PASARGAD HERITAGE FOUNDATION THE FIRST ORDINARY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
On September 16, 2007, upon the invitation of Ms. Shokooh Mirzadegi, the founder of the Pasargad Heritage Foundation, the first general meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at a Paltalk teleconferencing room under administered by Mr. Bijan Mehr.
The members who were present in alphabetical order: Mr. Nemat Azarm Dr. Hormoz Hekmat Mr. Bijan Khalili Ms. Shokooh Mirzadegi Dr. Esmail Nooriala Dr. Tooraj Paarsi Ms. Shams Ranjbar Dr. Shaahin Sepanta Mr. Kourosh Zaim
Absent members with prior notice who voted in advance: Dr. Shahla Abghari Dr. Mohammad Daadkhah Dr. Raamin Etebaar
Absentee due to a mistake in agenda’s date: Dr. Bahraam Choobineh Dr. Kaaveh Farokh Dr. Naaser Kanaani (All above three absentees later declared their agreement with the proceedings of this meeting in writing).
The first item of the agenda was to elect the officers of the Board and Foundation. There was a list of volunteers who had candidated themselves for the election on the request of Ms. Mirzadegi, founder of the Foundation. The election took place with 9 present members and 3 pre-casted votes from the absentees. The elected members are as follow:
Dr. Hormoz Hekmat Chairman of the Board Dr. Esmail Nooriala Deputy Chairman of the Board Ms. Shams Ranjbar Secretary of the Board Dr. Ramin Etebar Financial Supervisor of Foundation
Ms.Shokooh Mirzadegi Executive Director & Spokesperson of the Foundation
Secondly, heads of departments of the foundation were chosen from the list of candidates:
Dr. Tooraj Paarsi Department of Iranology and History Dr. Nemat Azarm Department of Arts and Literature Mr. Koorosh Zaim Department of Research Dr. Mohammad Ali Dadkhah Department of Legal Affairs Dr. Shaahin Sepanta Department of National Festivals and Dr. Kaveh Farokh Department of Ancient Heritages and Antiquity Mr. Bijan Khalili Department of Publications Dr. Raamin Etebaar Department of International Affairs
The Board of Trustees decided that the following actions should be considered as the immediate programs to be executed during the next 3 months:
- Letter to UNESCO about the Iranian lawyers’ suggestions prepared by Mr. Zaim - Action to inform the world about the immanent danger to Naqsh e Rostam - Reaction to the Qonia Festival for Rumi Celebration - The four-day festival of “Cyrus the Great Day” (October 26-29)
